I’ve attempted for years to wrap my head around the idea of God.
I’m quite certain that this is one of my problems, and one of the problems of the Church. People seem to want answers, when really, it seems like we’re just making a bunch of stuff up to have answers to give these people. Our faith is exactly what it is: faith. Faith means that we believe something, and we trust it to be true. But really, we just believe it because it rings true to our soul, not because it is true without a doubt. If it was, then we wouldn’t have doubts.
I’m not the kind of person that has to have answers to believe something. Sure, some answers are great, and needed, but overall, answers are overrated because most of the time, who’s to say the answers are correct in the first place?
This space is not intended to give answers, but to cause us to think, to be active, to change the world, to question the answers we’ve been given. This is the beginning of the journey.
