Hello.
With all of the crazy stuff I have going these days:
1. I just finished my 2nd novel. Don’t ask about the first, because it’s not very good. I’m in the search for an agent at the moment.
2. Whiskerino is happening. It’s an amazing time suck. And it’s amazing.
3. I’m editing a film.
4. Twitter.
With all of these things, I just don’t blog much. But I have discovered tumblr, and I am going to do any blogging/photo posting there for now.
That is all.
Ok. So I’m busy.
I’m about 30k words into the newest novel. It’s very different than the others.
I’m painting quite a bit. I need to post some photos here.

Busy.
1. A short story i wrote is now published in a focused compilation reflecting the musical art of the band Quote. A really great idea, actually. They had an artist and a writer create a piece of work for every song on their at that time unreleased album. I have not seen the finished product, but tonight is the release party, and i look forward to seeing it.
2. 48 hour film project is upon us again, and Fighting with Forks, our production company, is busy preparing to take part in the city of Nashville. The fun is next weekend. To find out more about 48 hour film project, go here. To see our movie from last year, go here.
3. I wrote a novel. After I finished it, I hid it and wrote it again from scratch. I then took that and committed the idea to memory, still not like it. For the last several months I’ve been pounding out a new idea. I’m about 17,000 words in so far, and i think it’s a large improvement on the previous 2 attempts at a novel. I’ll try to keep you posted.
4. Saturday, August 9, and for a month or 2 after, I’ll be showing 3 paintings at the East Nashville Tomato Festival. You can get all the details here. If you live in Nashville, you really should come down. I have several friends showing, and there are usually many affordable pieces to purchase. Fun stuff for the whole family.
5. Several of you have commented about commissioning me to paint something for an empty space in your home or office. I’m in a painting mood, so now’s a good time for those still interested.
6. Oh yeah. Still working on the Whiskerino documentary.

It’s been a while.
From Nov 1 to Feb 29, I grew a beard with a host of others at this website. It was a grand time where I had the pleasure of meeting several new friends and got the opportunity to create in a very unique environment.
Also during this time, Fighting with Forks (the people who brought you Safe as Houses) embarked on an adventure: we filmed a vast amount of this process in hopes of making a documentary about Whiskerino, the online beard growing contest.
Currently, I am pulling footage off of the tapes onto a hard drive so we can sort through said shots and figure out what we want to use. This could take a while.
In other news, I have also been painting quite a deal, and I’m in the process of starting a new novel. I still have the other one, but I’m going to let it sit on the sidelines for a while. Fighting with Forks is also in the process of writing some scripts in hopes of making some short films and, if all goes well, a full feature.
Ah dreams and aspirations.
